First Generation: John (Chow) Martin, a businessman in the marine trade from Canton. He married Margaret Augustus (1837-1901), a schoolteacher and the daughter of Scottish missionaries. Children: Issa, John Jr., Matilda, Agnes.
Second Generation: Agnes Martin and Henry Akan, a businessman. Children: Carmen, Sowee.
Third Generation: Carmen Akan and Alexander David Lee, a businessman. Children: Yolande, Carl, Kendal, Ralph, Jean, Myrna, Brenda, D’Arcy.
Fourth Generation: D’Arcy Alexander Lee (1940-), a dentist and Carole Agnes Aqui (1946-). Children: Alexander David, Christiana, Justin.
Fifth Generation: Alexander David Lee (1972-), leader in new technology and Chia-Ying (Lisa) Lin (1974-).
